Hello! It’s so nice to have you here. 

It’s so amazing how God gave man power to choose. Our actions, we choose them, even the little things such as what to wear.

Instances; I can choose to sleep when my coursemates are reading. I can choose to party instead of attending church. I choose my friends and whatever they come with. I can choose to love certain people and hate the others. 

What am I saying? We get to choose what path we follow as humans. Yes, at certain points our parents, the people we meet, friends and even family members can try to influence our choices. At the end of the day, it all comes down to what we choose to do and then we do it. Even God doesn’t impose his ways, he gives us room to choose.

The thing about choices is that there are outcomes to them, either good, bad or worse. In the instance where I chose to sleep and not read, failure is inevitable. If I choose to drink and smoke everyday of my life, I’m prone to the diseases that come along with that choice. I can choose to stop trying after I fail at a thing, well then success will equally never come. In as much as we have freedom to make choices, it’s only good to make choices that have positive outcomes. If I choose to read and not sleep, I get my good grades and my choice has proved to be profitable.

Deuteronomy 30:19 – I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, [that] I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live;

God has set before us options, to choose from. Choices are solely yours but they can be influenced on grounds of outcome. It is only wise to make choices that are profitable, our choices can MAKE or MAR us.

Hey you Amazing person❤️ I can’t make your choices for you, I can only show you the options that have proven time and time again to be the best option; that scripture ended with “Choose life”(a profitable choice). Jesus said he is the way, the truth and the life. Choosing life is choosing Jesus.

Why is this the best option?

• He’s the creator and he knows what’s best for the creation, Ephesians 2:10.
• In him is all the good and perfect things, James 1:17.
• Eternal life is guaranteed, 1 john 5:12-13.
• His plans for us are good, Jeremiah 29:11.

The good news is; even if we’ve made choices and we’ve suffered the outcomes whether good or worse, it is not late to choose to go God’s way and let him align us in the way that is best for us. No man knows a creation better than the creator not even the creation itself, that’s why appliances come with manuals as guides from the one who knows best. The Bible is our life manual, choose to live the Jesus way through the scriptures by the help of the Holyspirit and your life will get the best outcomes. I have made a choice to choose Jesus everyday of my life and so far, so amazing!

Hello! It’s so exciting using a blog platform, please pardon my first post craziness. Okay I’m chill:)

So! I’m Helen, just incase you don’t know, please Visit the “Meet Helen:)” page for more details about me. I’m just an ordinary girl with a MIGHTY God. This platform is mostly for young people who think the Christ centered life is one hard thing, The consecrated lifestyle is a difficult life to live. You know, I thought so too, I just wanted to do my own thing and call myself a Christian, as opposed to other religions.

I’ve stayed on the fence for so long, no matter how I heard preachings of how a sinful life hurts God, it wasn’t like I didn’t care, I did, I just didn’t know how to be transformed.
I didn’t want to be outdated, (It was my honest thought that the Christ centered life is an outdated life, lived by the elderly), I needed to stay cool, even at the expense of the sacrifices of Jesus for me.

Well, I’m here to share how I found my way out. I want to believe y’all know this song, you’re excused if you don’t know it too, well it goes “Goodbye world, I’ve spent a long time with you, goodbye pleasures of sin, I’ve stayed a long time with you, I’ve made up my mind to go God’s way, the rest of my life ooh, I’ve made up my mind to go God’s way the rest of my life”. I sang that song year in year out in my church, I’d even cry, the next day, there I am, lying and cheating and doing all manner.

I know this is the case of many young people, it’s not like we don’t love God, we do, we know what we do is wrong, but we can’t help it. I feel you sis/bro.

Ever since I found my way out, it’s been a desire in me to just talk, to let others know that it’s possible to be free, to live a “But first, Jesus” kind of life. So here I’ll be sharing whatever I’m led to share, on how we young people can live a “But first, Jesus” kind of life in our daily lives, in our academics, in business, in relationships, in wherever field we find ourselves.

A Jesus centric life doesn’t necessarily mean you must be a pastor or minister of any sort. Whatever you choose to do, whether You’re an Engineer, A Scientist, A baker, A makeup artist, A business man or woman, A public speaker, An accountant, Real estate agent, Influencer and so on, whatever sphere you’re in, you can let your light (Jesus centered light) so SHINE, that they may see your Good works and Glorify your father!
